A Little Bit of Home IV
For many United States service members deployed in the Middle East, it’s the little things that help make each day endurable. Sometimes an item as seemingly unexceptional as a bag of chips or Gatorade® can make all the difference — and that’s where Symetra comes in.
For the fourth year, Symetra will bring "A Little Bit of Home" to military personnel serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Items that can provide a little bit of home to the troops include:
- food and snacks such as candy (chocolate is OK);
- single-serving snack packages;
- beef jerky and powdered drink mixes; and
- current/unused CDs and DVDs.
You can drop your new unwrapped donations in the bins located in the Symetra Financial Center main lobby anytime between Nov. 1 and 14.
Symetra is also working with the Auburn Parks, Arts and Recreation department this year to bring the comforts of home to as many troops as possible. Donations will be collected at the Symetra display during the Auburn Veterans Day Parade on November 10.
