Symetra is proud to partner with independent agents and advisors across the country — not only to deliver top of the line products and services to clients, but to help them build better communities in the places they live and work.
One such partner is John Stanojev of Capital Insurance & Investment Planning, LLC, located in Doylestown, Penn.
This fall, John nominated Janet Mintzer, president of the Pearl S. Buck Foundation, for the Symetra Community Champion award. Janet, was selected as one of four Champions across the country, and was honored by John and Stan Emert, managing director of Corporate Social Responsibility, at a recent event along with a financial contribution Symetra to the foundation.
“It was an honor to work with John to recognize the remarkable accomplishments of this Community Champion,” said Emert.
While John’s selfless nature leads him to shine the spotlight on others, he himself is worthy of praise for his tremendous commitment to the greater Doylestown community. Through board memberships, countless volunteer hours, and support of non-profits across Pennsylvania, John devotes much of his free time to bettering the local community.
From throwing birthday parties at a local orphanage, to hosting exchange students at his home, to organizing clothes drives for the homeless, John’s passion for helping others spans a wide array of causes and organizations.
John is past president of the Doylestown Rotary Club and has served on the boards of the Pearl S. Buck Foundation, the Twilight Wish Foundation, and the Lenape Valley Foundation. In addition, he routinely volunteers with the Pittsburgh Food Bank, the Pittsburgh Action Against Rape, the Mercer Museum and Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Bucks County, among many others.
And just this Christmas, he donned his Santa Claus suit for the 34th year, bringing holiday cheer to children who may have otherwise go without.
So what keeps him motivated? John says it’s the kids. “Helping a child in need makes it all worthwhile,” he remarks. “I want to ensure that they have every opportunity to succeed.”
It’s not just through volunteering, however, that he reaches out to those in need. He also makes a difference with his day job. As president and founder of his firm, John has more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He offers financial planning, wealth management and estate planning advice and products, including Symetra income annuities, to his clients.
“There are financial advisors everywhere who are working toward bettering people’s lives, but John brings this service to a whole new level,” said Pete LeBlanc, Symetra regional vice president for the eastern territory. “John’s commitment is truly extraordinary, and we are proud to be able partner with him both in business and in the community.”
